Inverness born, Shona MacLean holds a PhD in History, is a specialist in 16th and 17th Century history, and was encouraged to write by her late Uncle, Alistair MacLean.
Shona’s latest novel, acclaimed historical thriller, Crucible of Secrets, is set in the 16th & 17th Centuries, where main protagonist, Alexander Seaton, a fallen minister, becomes the informal investigator into various sinister murders reaching from Banff to Ireland and back again.
