Hi-Ex Comic Expo
After the success and popularity of Hi-Ex 2008, there was nothing else for the organisers to do than hold another one!
As with last year, Eden Court will play host to Scotlands ONLY comic convention.
Again, there will be something for every strand of comic fan. There will be in-depth (and fun!) panels and talks touching on all corners of the medium.
For younger visitors there's plenty to do too - with a full programme of workshops throughout the weekend and a fun 'drop-in' art area in the upstairs foyer.
And you grown ups! Don't look so glum - there are workshops for you too! Anyone wanting to learn more about the craft of drawing comics or creating scripts need look no further! very best professional artists and writers on hand to impart their wisdom to you (and I know any of our guests reading this will now be panicking!).
And just like last time, there is a display of some brilliant original comic art in the Blink Space gallery!
And there's more..! The charity auction, in aid of Children 1st, has some unbelievable lots that have been generously donated by artists and companies. Then there's the raffle on Sunday afternoon, with more prizes than we can possibly list here, the fancy dress competition and back-to-back showing of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on Saturday and Sunday!
See you there!

What the Press say
Comic fan's 1,300-mile Hell-Trek
A comic fan is to make a 1,300-mile round trip from his home in Kent to Inverness for the Highland's only comic book convention.
John Burdis will drive a minibus from Maidstone and pick up eight others on his way to join several hundred people at Hi-Ex at the end of this month.
He has dubbed the trip the Hi-Ex Hell-Trek.
Fellow fans will be picked up from Gatwick Airport, north London, Milton Keynes, Manchester and Paisley.
Mr Burdis has had polo shirts, chocolate bars and a banner to go along the side of the bus specially made for the journey.
The idea for the trip started as a joke suggestion on a fans' forum for the British comic 2000AD.
Mr Burdis said: "Other people who wanted to travel up this year but couldn't are watching how this one goes with a view to making the trip next year."
Hi-Ex will be held at Eden Court on 27-28 March.
Guests include French artist Michel Rodrigue, who created the official mascot for the inaugural rugby World Cup in 1987 and worked on the Tintin magazine.

Comic hero 'gone fishing' on loch
One of the best-known characters from British comic strips has been drawn fishing on Loch Ness to help promote the Highland's only comic convention.
Judge Dredd is joined by Nessie for the new illustration on the welcome page of the Hi-Ex expo website.
It was drawn by artist Colin MacNeil, a guest at the event being held in Inverness at the end of March.
Judge Dredd, a lawman in the year 2130, is a regular feature of the comic 2000AD.
His creators were inspired by Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry character.
Mr MacNeil, originally from Inverness, will be joined by other guests including Manga writer and artist Asia Alfasi and comic book veteran Cam Kennedy.
For the first time the convention has secured funding from Highland Council.
It is the third year Hi-Ex has been held.
