Based on a true story, Everlasting Moments tells the story of Maria (Heiskanen), a young woman married to an alcoholic, womanising dockworker (Persbrandt). Her husband leaves the worries of family responsibilities entirely to Maria. She meets a camera shop owner (Christensen) who encourages her to start taking and developing photographs. Very soon she begins to see the world in a very different light.
