BANDE À PART (PG)
France
1964
95 mins (in French with subtitles)
Director: Jean-Luc Godard
Starring: Anna Karina, Claude Brasseur, Sami Frey
Franz and Arthur, a couple of streetwise hustlers, team up with the Odile (Anna Karina, Godard's wife and muse at the time) to plan a robbery. As the trio of misfits roam the cafes of suburban Paris, run through the Louvre, and play-act shoot-outs, the suspicion grows that this is one heist that is not going to go according to plan.
Features some of the most iconic scenes of the French New Wave and possibly Godard's coolest film which has been paid homage to by a host of directors; including Hal Hartley and Quentin Tarantino.
