Andrew is an award-winning poet and novelist. He have written several plays which have toured in Scotland and abroad, and has written comedy and drama for radio and television. He is also the Director of Moniack Mhor, the Avron creative writing centre in Beauly.
His first poetry book White Boats won an Eric Gregory award and his novel In Another Light won the 2004 Saltire Society Scottish book of the year. Many of his other works have been shortlisted for prizes and he is perhaps as well known for his non-fiction books on mountaineering and golf (Summit Fear and Preferred Lies) as he is for novels such as Electric Brae and The Return of John.
Andrew will be in conversation with Hamish MacDonald. Hamish is a published author of fiction and poetry. He will read from At the Loch of the Green Corrie and answer any questions from the audience.
