A Health and Happiness drama group is starting in Nairn for adults (16+)
The group is for people with Learning Disabilities (not learning difficulties) and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions.
Ruby Worth, Out of Eden - Additional Needs Theatre Arts Worker, from Eden Court is facilitating the group.
Dates: Tuesdays 9th Feb- 27th April
Time: 7.00-9.00pm.
There will be a performance on Tuesday 4th May, in Nairn, which will be devised by group members.
I am seeking volunteers to help group members:
• Understand information and instructions
• Help them make suggestions/informed choices about what they want to do
• To take part in a performance
It is really important that we do not take over or influence group members to do what we would like them to do!!
Their confidence is built through coming up with ideas for themselves and being gently encouraged to take part.
It can be very satisfying for us:
• To see group members making choices/decisions for themselves
• To see them doing things they enjoy
• For us to explore creative ways that support them to do more for themselves
