"Much may be made of a Scotchman, if he be caught young." (Samuel Johnson)
This new comedy from Stewart Lee, author of Jerry Springer: The Opera stars stand-up Simon Munnery (League of Tedium) as Dr Samuel Johnson and Miles Jupp (winner of So You Think Your Funny) as James Boswell.
The two bilious bores leap to the present day to relaunch their books about their famed tour of Scotland. They've much to say about Scotland in the intervening years and make for a brilliantly funny double act as Boswell attempts to defend his nation against Johnson’s savage wit.
This historically hilarious two-hander comes to Eden Court following a sell-out Edinburgh Festival run at The Traverse and prior to re-tracing the great men’s steps by embarking on a Highland tour.
