Arts Education Gaelic Drama Worker

I have been working as a drama worker for Eden Court for over eight years. The main part of my work is supporting Gaelic medium education in primary schools and leading Gaelic after school drama clubs. Sometimes I also co-produce and perform in theatre in education shows throughout the Highlands. I also use film making as part of my work.

I run three clubs at Culduthel Christian Centre, Inverness, two for Gaelic medium primary children and one for Gaelic learners. I also lead Còmhlan Drama Òigridh Inbhir Nis at Spectrum Centre, Inverness and part of my work with them is to seek and arrange material for them to perform.

I have directed shows such as Taigh Màiri Anndra that have been performed on the main stage at Eden Court. I recently directed a whole school performance to celebrate the first year of Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis. I co-work with music tutor Eilidh Barker, Doilina Grant, Gaelic Community Learning & Development Officer, Meanbh-chuileag, Fèisean nan Gaidheal, Feis a’ Bhaile and Feis na h-Òige to run the above mentioned clubs and projects.
